Card payments & Xero

Connect Stripe for online card payments, show your bank details for transfers, and let Xero keep itself.

Last updated 10 August 2026

Go to Settings → Payments.

Card payments

Connect your own Stripe account and customers can pay invoices online by card the moment they get them. The money goes to your Stripe account, not ours.

Bank transfers

Add your sort code and account number under Business details and the customer pay page shows them as a bank-transfer option. The customer tells Gafferly they've paid, you get a notification, and you confirm it when the money lands.

Deposits

A deposit you set on a quote is billed on the invoice raised after acceptance and paid through the same pay link. Tick Auto-create the invoice when a quote is accepted under Settings → Quoting & branding (in Quoting & VAT defaults) and that invoice raises itself.

Xero

Connect Xero once and the bookkeeping keeps itself: invoices push across as you send them, payments you record in Gafferly are pushed to Xero too, and if you ever write off an agreed short payment, Gafferly raises the matching credit note in Xero so nothing shows as owed that isn't. See Invoices & getting paid.

Next: your team & sign-in.
