There is no built-in BS 5839 certificate. The design, install, commissioning, acceptance and servicing records are all form builder work, and worth building once properly because you issue them constantly.

How the work arrives
Not a classic reactive trade. The recurring maintenance book is the asset and the install is what creates it, so the mix is a large fixed service grid, lumpy project installs, and a reactive tail. The grid is the business, and a missed visit is a contract risk rather than an inconvenience.
How the year runs
The maintenance base is deliberately flat, that is the whole point of building one. Emergency lighting annual duration tests do cluster, and they are out of hours because you have to drop the lights for three hours.
Where Gafferly stops, for this trade
Better to know now than in week three of the trial.
- Gafferly ships no BS 5839 certificate. Every document this trade issues is form builder work. If you want a supplied and maintained certificate library, this is the trade where that gap costs you most.
- It does not hold a police URN or track false alarm counts against one. You can record activations on the site history, but the URN relationship is yours and the monitoring centre's.
- It does not integrate with alarm receiving centres or monitoring platforms.
