Jobs

Create, schedule, assign and track every job through its stages.

A job is the heart of Gafferly. It carries the customer, the site, what needs doing, who's going, the price, parts, photos and the eventual invoice.

Booking a job

  1. Choose + New job (in the header, or on the Jobs screen), or start one from a customer's page or an accepted quote. The screen it opens is called Book a job.
  2. Pick the customer, set the job type, add a short description, and choose a date, slot and engineer. The site comes with the customer; booking from the customer's page lets you pick between their sites, and you can change it later with Edit details on the job.
  3. Save. It now shows on the diary and the engineer's Today screen.

Job stages

Jobs move through enquiry, quoted, booked, in progress, completed, invoiced and paid. The status updates as you and your engineers work, and the dashboard reflects it.

On the job page

You can add internal notes, log parts used (which pulls from stock), attach before and after photos, see costing (owners and accounts only), and complete the job. See completing a job for the on-site flow.
